When data is deleted by the user it is immediately removed from the active workspace and is no longer accessible. Deleted data may continue to exist in encrypted backups until those backups are rotated out according to the following schedule: daily snapshots are retained for 7 days, weekly backups for 1 month, and monthly backups for 6 months. Backups are used solely for disaster recovery purposes.
